WHERE TO DRINK

If you have a car and some time, here are some stops to make along la Costa Brava.

Llafranc + Calella de Palafrugell

Enjoy sweeping views at El Far Hotel, and Japanese-Med fushion at Far Nomo (reservation recommended). We still dream of the sushi. Callela de Palafrugell is a waterfront town with unspoiled charm and a sandy clear beach.

Begur + Aiguablava

Visit Begur's old town and castle for great food and views. Platja d'Aiguablava and Cala de'n Maleret are Chelsea and Dani's favorite beaches. We'll be jealous if you get a dinner reservation at the coveted Hostal Restaurant Sa Rascassa.

Girona + Figueres

A close stop on the way to Cadaques, Girona's medieval architecture and Jewish quarter stand out. Nearby in Figueres, visit the Dalí Theatre-Museum.
